A new landmark has emerged on the Mulund-Goregaon Link Road in Mumbai's north-eastern suburbs.
The signage says it all: 'Wockhardt Hospitals, Associate Hospital, Harvard Medical International' followed by the promise 'World-class professional treatment with care'.
If it were not for the signage, no one would take it for a hospital. The seven storey 222-bedded hospital complex has a modern sleek structure... quite unlike a conventional hospital. The soothing cream-coloured walls, the bright and Colourful ambience, the all pervading cleanliness and the smiling, courteous staff are just some of the visible symbols of Wockhardt Hospitals' endeavour to build the most caring and friendly hospitals in the country for patients who need critical care.
After extensive strategic planning, and meticulous attention being paid to design, systems and support, Wockhardt Heart Hospital (WHH) was launched in July. WHH becomes the first super speciality hospital focused on cardiac care in Mumbal. In the near future, the hospital will add on facilities for super speciality tertiary care in neurology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and women's care.
Wockhardt Heart Hospital at Mulund fulfils a long-felt need of Citizens of Mumbai's suburbs for a super speciality hospital. They will no longer need to travel to the southern and central parts of the City for critical and surgical medical care. Our hospital is easily accessible to around 4.5 million Citizens, covering Mulund, Bhandup, Ghatkopar, Chembur, New Mumbai and Thane district areas.
The hospital is the city's first healthcare institution to be associated to the world renowned Harvard Medical International (HMI), Boston, USA. Wockhardt Hospitals has a Iong term exclusive agreement with HMI, whereby Wockhardt will have access to Harvard's expertise and experience in surgical and medicare services, as well as in setting up and developing hospitals of excellence through out the world. Senior staff at the Mulund hospital underwent training at Harvard's facilities in Boston before taking up their positions.
According to HMl officials who 'have been working closely with Wockhardt, the hospital is among the best in the '" world in terms of systems and practices as it has been built in accordance with the latest concepts.
A feature equally paramount to the patient is that the hospital offers world class services at rates most affordable in the country.
