Eminent pediatricians of the Valley attended a scientific seminar on Hepatitis-A prevention, which was organised by Wockhardt (Mother and Childcare division) Mumbai here Monday evening.

Wockhardt, according to its vice-president S Nagaraj has introduced its live attenuated Hepatitis-A vaccine for the first time in India under brand name on Biovac-A. The vaccine, according to the vice-president has several advantages over the other chilled vaccines available in the market.

"Biovac-A requires only single dose and no booster dose is required unlike other vaccines," he said while addressing the participants. The Wockhardt vice-president earlier welcomed the doctors and enlightened them on the advantages on Biovac-A.
