 An
approval and order from your consultant doctor is required
for you to leave the hospital. After the doctor has conveyed
his order to the attending nurse, the Reception begins the
billing process. Allow one our for completing the formalities,
after which a family member may go to the Reception and
settle the bill. The receipt must be shown to the nursing
staff who along with the resident doctor will process the
discharge papers. The resident doctors will visit the patient
and explain various aspects of care to be followed after
discharge. Discharged patients are advised not to stay at
the hospital after the discharge formalities are over.
